Sideline Crew Agreement

Dear Colleague:

Greetings! I am sure you are more than busy preparing for the fall, but please take a moment to read the following information. We would like to extend the invitation for you to nominate two of your outstanding senior musicians to join The University of Texas Longhorn Band as a member of our 2006 Sideline Crew. The purpose of this select program is to provide a means by which your outstanding senior band members (especially those who may be interested in attending The University of Texas) may experience the musical and social excitement of participation in the Longhorn Band on game day.

Below is a list of guidelines that you must accept before nominations can take place.

Nomination Guidelines

  • Nominations can only be submitted by the Director of Bands (or associate director) via this website.
  • Directors must have a password to access the nomination page (received in a letter sent out in August).
  • Nominations are compiled upon a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Each school is limited to two senior band member nominees.
  • The nominator and nominees will receive a confirmation e-mail within 48 hours upon receipt of the information submitted. Final game date and other details will not be released until a week prior to the selected game choice.

Participant Guidelines

  • A specific arrival time will be sent to participants, but it will be at least 4 hours before the game's listed kickoff time.
  • Participants are expected to act in a courteous, professional manner.
  • Participants should not bring their instrument(s). They will not be playing with the Longhorn Band.
  • Participants are required to wear khaki pants/shorts, while polo shirt, and tennis shoes (please no open-toe footwear) on game day.
  • Pre-game meal will be provided for the participants.
  • Only participants will receive admission to the game. Family members and other guests are required to purchase their tickets (1-800-982-BEVO or TexasSports Website).
  • No commitment other than a day of fun, food, music, and football is required.
